We are
race prepping the EVO-10 transmission, as we do any of our STAGE 3
transmissions, for the intended use of road racing, drag racing and rally
racing or just daily driving. All available upgrades and modifications
are preformed by trained experts to improve the durability & service life
of the transmission.
Gear
detail work is done to the lead edge and root diameter of the gear teeth.
This is proven to increase the ability of the gearset to handle higher
torque without failure. The center differential receives larger hardened
retaining pins and oiling upgrades to eliminate failure due to lack of
lubrication. Shift rail ends are modified and shot peened as well to
prevent rail ends from breaking. Gear lock-out and notchy shifting are no
longer a problem because the engagement teeth are modified to increase the
window of opportunity.
Smooth
shifting is the result of REM® of the hubs/sleeves, shift rails and shift
shaft assembly. Transmission oil passageways are enlarged to deliver more
oil to critical parts which is equally important for those who road race
their EVO-X or daily drive it. Afterwards the gearset is blue-printed to
match the transmission case and assembled. You will not find a better
built transmission anywhere period.
