NEW EVOLUTION STAGE 2.5

This is our new STAGE 2.5 transmission for the Mitsubishi EVOLUTION. We have optimized the new STAGE 2.5 transmission with carefully chosen gear ratios to provide the best acceleration for those who are using an EVO for competition use (drag/road racing or autocross). More gear ratios are available, click the link for more info. These transmissions have been modified for severe duty and have proven themselves to be able to take the punishment of a full years worth of road racing. The STAGE 2.5 receives gear detail work to the lead edge and root diameter of the gear teeth which allows the gearsets to handle higher torque without failure. High rpm shifts are not a problem because the engagement teeth are modified to increase the window of opportunity. Oil passageways are enlarged to deliver more oil to critical parts. This transmission will also fit the EVO 4 through 9, an excellent upgrade for the older EVOLUTIONS. We also can build the transmission with the JDM .825:1 close ratio 5th gearset. Conservatively rated at 425ft.lbs of torque yet this transmission can withstand 650ft.lbs making them ideal for high torque stroker engine applications. This is the same transmission build that national SCCA T2 champion Marty Grand runs in his EVO.
