We commonly see the Mitsubishi Evolution transfer case with the bearings that support the ring & pinion set way too loose to hold the gears in proper alignment when it's loaded to the nuts with torque. During a aggressive launch, the teeth on the ring gear to yield and crack.  This can be avoided by having the transfer case bearing preloads adjusted correctly and by adjustment of the ring & pinion mesh zone. OPEN FRONT DIFFERENTIAL SERVICE

Send your front differential in and have it upgraded with the stronger forged spider gears that holds up to the abuse much better than the weak powdered metal spider gears.

Includes:

  • forged & shot peened spider gearset

  • Heavy Duty 5mm solid roll pin

  • Shot peened viscous spines

  • New spider gear washers & side gear shims

RIPGRIP LIMITED SLIP FRONT DIFFERENTIAL UNIT

CNC'd from tool steel and paired with  premium high tension springs so you get the most lock-up possible. You will not break the thing and the modifications that we do to the housing makes it last. NOTE:  it is recommended that you send your differential to our facility for the installation service (listed above). We are now machining the contact surfaces of the spider gears so that they are matched to the surface of the RIPGRIP. This provides a substantial increase in the friction to generated giving you more grip. The differential housing also receives some work to provide more lubrication to the areas we don't want wearing out.
