STAGE 4 is our top of the line
transmission rebuild for the AWD DSM.
This transmission features the EVO-III close
ration gearing 1st-4th and it has double synchros on 2nd, 3rd & 4th gears.
You are getting an all new EVO-III 1st-4th gearset and new input shaft and
intermediate shaft.
This
transmission build has gone high 8's. This transmission features
gear
detail work that improves the durability of the transmission.
Afterwards, the entire gearset receives high intensity
shot peening to raise the ultimate strength of the
gearset,
increasing fatigue resistance by over 20-25% while reducing gear wear.
High
rpm shifts are not a problem because the engagement teeth are modified to
increase the window of opportunity.
Oil passageways are
enlarged to improve oiling and transmission also receives other important
upgrades: new 1st gear, new input shaft, new double synchro 2nd gear, new 3rd and 4th gears, new HD Cryo'd
intermediate shaft, center differential Torrington bearing upgrade, high
tension synchro springs and the tough 3rd/4th shift fork. This is an excellent rebuild where you're getting
the most new parts.
