The new STAGE 3 is your best value bar none because you are getting an all new OEM 1st-4th gearset and a new input shaft and new intermediate shaft. These are the main components that get worn out inside of a DSM transmission that has over 100k miles on them. This transmission is intended for 600HP. This transmission features gear detail work that improves the durability of the transmission. The entire gearset receives high intensity shot peening to raise the ultimate strength of the gearset, increasing fatigue resistance by over 20-25% while reducing gear wear. High rpm shifts are not a problem because the engagement teeth are modified to increase the window of opportunity. Oil passageways are enlarged to improve oiling and transmission also receives other important upgrades: double synchro 2nd gear, new 3rd and 4th gears, new HD Cryo'd intermediate shaft, center differential Torrington bearing upgrade, high tension synchro springs and the tough 3rd/4th shift fork.
